This week went by way too fast oh my goodness! It was
a hard week as a ton of our appointments fell through and we had to drop a ton
of our investigators because none of them would do anything too change, they
just liked to talk. We had fast Sunday, so we decided to fast specifically
to find new people.
There's this guy named Jairo who used to be a huge drug
dealer, but when he found the gospel of Jesus Christ, it changed him and he
turned his life around. Well, his girlfriend saw the change that happened
with him and wanted to know how he had done it. So, we went to go teach
her but she already knew everything! We committed her to baptism and
she's all in!
Another investigator, Juan Carlos, unfortunately
has vertigo and when we went to go to pick him up to bring him to church,
he said that we needed to take him to the hospital. I was just like gosh
dang it Satan! Well, we dropped him off and visited him the next
day. He was 100 percent better and so we had an amazing discussion with
him upon returning home. He told us that while he was in the hospital he
received a testimony about the gospel of Jesus Christ and that he knows
for a fact that the church is true. A huge blessing is that I get to
baptize him this Sunday! I'll make sure to send pics! Boy does God
work in mysterious ways. :)
A spiritual thought...
With God, there is nothing we can't do. With
Jesus Christ and His atonement, we will always have someone who can relate to
us when times just suck. There's an Easter video coming out on March
31st, so next week I’ll send out the link. The video is absolutely
incredible! Don't get me wrong, the Easter bunny is awesome and all but
the true meaning of Easter is the gift and sacrifice that Christ performed for
all of us so that we could become mighty and even become like Him if we accept
Him and His restored gospel. I know this message is true with all my
heart and I know He lives.
Love,
Elder Pomar
